This is Jacques Shepherd, creator of another blog you may know of called Anime Nerds United. Typically, Japanese animation is my forte. I watch it every day and it's a part of my life that gives me pleasure. However, I don't think I would've gotten into anime if it weren't for my love of movies and TV shows. Since a very young age, I have always been the sort of kid who prefers the indoors and who would watch TV and movies all of the time. Some of the first movies I ever watched were classic Disney films and Star Wars. The first great cinematic experience I ever remembered was at the Leicester Square Odeon in London, watching The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Movies and TV shows were magic when I was a kid. I remember loving Power Rangers, Transformers, Dragon Ball Z and even (to my undying shame) Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! Yes, those were the days when anything that appeared on a screen was magic. And, although that magic has died somewhat as I've grown up, I'm still in love with movies and TV shows. The ability to enrapture an audience through just a screen really fascinates me, which is, of course, why I'm going to study Film at London South Bank University from this September onwards.

I love doing Anime Nerds United. It's given me the ability to express myself about something I'm very passionate about. However, this blog will open up even more opportunities and not just limit me to anime. This is a blog where I will be covering movies, TV shows and, from time to time, video games. This is an opportunity for me to basically blog about whatever the hell I want when it comes to these things. Some things will be articles, others will be reviews. But what I absolutely wish to convey is my undying passion for movies, primarily, but also TV shows and video games. So, I welcome you to my Movie Cave. I hope that you will enjoy the things that I will write about and, in all honesty, please don't be shy about adding your opinion because I'm always open to constructive criticism.
